The Light Committee photography studio has been around since 2015. It has been in the arts district of downtown Los Angeles since March 2019. Prior to this, it was in La Crescenta, CA, a suburb of the Glendale area. The move to downtown more centrally located the photography studio in the greater Los Angeles metro area. It also nearly doubled the creative space.
The larger studio space has doubled the available options for backgrounds to use. In addition to this, the larger space creates more creative liberties for distances with headshots to full-body shots.
Being in the arts district also allows for greater opportunity for natural light headshots. The arts district area has an abundance of interesting spots for lifestyle headshots for practically any portfolio. There are rustic buildings to modern buildings. There are worn areas to newly developed areas. There’s an abundance of Los Angeles sun and shade. In a nutshell, there are plenty of opportunities for great natural light headshots.
The studio’s location is near the 5, 10 and 110 freeways. This makes it easy to get your Uber or Lyft to drop you off at the front door. If you drive yourself, there is plenty of paid parking nearby and sometimes you might get lucky and find free street parking too. The studio itself is in suite 316 of the building, on the third floor. The building itself has been around forever. It is filled with all kinds of creative people. While the building is old, when you enter the studio, you’ll be in a comfortable place full of innovation.
So, you can come in for a fantastic headshot experience and leave to enjoy many of the great spots nearby. There are plenty of great restaurants, places to get coffee or other drinks, or simply to walk around and enjoy the arts district.
