Headshots by The Light Committee began with a studio in the Glendale area in 2015, which is the west-neighbor of Pasadena. The studio was moved to the arts district of downtown Los Angeles in 2019. It is operated by photographer, Rafael Larin.
The studio provides Pasadena customers with premium headshots at an affordable cost. As a result, actor, corporate, model, people needing dating profile photos, and other customers have turned to Headshots by The Light Committee.
The core service offered are a series of studio headshot sessions. These sessions include the use of premium studio lighting and camera gear. Natural light headshots are also offered by walking around the arts district and using its great backdrops. And, organizations can use mobile headshot services where Rafael brings a mobile studio to your place of business to do headshots.
Each headshot session affords a specific number of retouched photos. The photo(s) selected for retouching are delivered as a PNG print-quality file, as an 8×10”, and as an online optimized JPEG file. The remaining usable photos from the session are also offered. But they are done without retouching and as online-optimized files. These online-optimized files are ideal because they are ready to use on most websites that might have limitations on file sizes you can upload.
Headshots by The Light Committee prides itself on delivering a level of image quality that is immediately apparent. Then, the session rates are lower-cost when compared with competing studios. Thus, a winning value proposition is created. But, there’s more. Great customer service includes providing fast results and responses to inquiries. In addition, Rafael has consulting and agency public relations and marketing experience. This is useful as Rafael can provide branding / marketing insights to use or create the headshots. It is all these elements that align to provide a headshot services experience unmatched elsewhere.
Pasadena is a popular Southern California city, probably best known for the Rose Bowl and Tournament of Rose’s Parade. It is located just 11 miles north of the arts district of downtown Los Angeles. Pasadena is also known for Caltech and much more. This includes the famous Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), the largest employer in the city.
Is Pasadena a Suburb
Pasadena is its own incorporated city within Los Angeles County, though it does have more of a suburban feel than being in downtown Los Angeles. It is surrounded by Glendale to the west and Arcadia to the east. And, Altadena is to its north, while Alhambra is to the south.
How Old is Pasadena?
Pasadena was incorporated in 1886, whereas Los Angeles was in 1850. And, it is the ninth largest city in Los Angeles County. The San Gabriel Mountains are the city’s backdrop and they make for scenic city views.
Headshots by the Light Committee has secured a permit via FilmLA to conduct still photography in select Los Angeles County beaches and parks. Also, the studio is a Leader Member of The American Photographic Artists (APA) and earned the Bark Certificate of Excellence, 2019.
